Frances “Frankie” Habersham Fonde Brogan

Frances “Frankie” Habersham Fonde Brogan died January 18, 2009 in Townsend.

While a student at the University of Tennessee, Brogan was named Miss University of Tennessee and Sweetheart of Sigma Chi.  She was a gifted writer and often wrote humorous or tender poems to mark special family occasions.  She was also a woman of deep faith, and in 1982 a book describing her spiritual journey, The Snare of the Fowler, was published by Chosen Books.  She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Home Economics at UT in 1944.
