My story, my dream

Nancy Myers, owner of The Secret Garden.

“Having a shop of my own has always been a dream of mine ever since I can remember, but I thought it was out of my reach, until one day a nice lady named Mrs. Everett ‘Boots’ Castoe came into my life.

She always believed in me and always said I could anything if I put my mind to it.  She was such an inspiration to me, always loving and kind.  ”I’ll see to it that you get your dream,” she said.  At the time I just laughed but that day eventually came true.

I have dedicated this shop to ‘Boots’ and she will always be in my heart.  I want this shop to a place of comfort and joy to all who enter, just as she was a comfort and joy to be around.”

The Secret Garden specializes in custom silk wreaths, arrangments, cemetery designs, gift baskets, quilts, afghans, and candles, plus unique designs from local artists.
