Frank “Speedy” Myers, 1935-2009

Frank “Speedy” Myers, 74, of Maryville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009, at Ben Atchley Veterans Home in Knoxville.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a long-time employee for Ledbetter TV.  He is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Lois Myers of Bryson City, N.C.; sister, Dorothy Rhymer of Hobart, Ind.; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Bill Jones of Morristown; niece and caregiver, Charlotte Jensen of Farragut; several other nieces and nephews.  Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Fred Watson officiating.  Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Townsend.  The family will receive friends Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Arrangements by Memorial Funeral Home, Maryville.
