Josephine Glasgow Taggart, 92, of Maryville, formerly of Pitman, N.J., passed away August 31, 2009 at the home where she resided with her son, Ken Taggart and his wife Gail. She was a member of Pitman First Presbyterian Church, Pitman, N.J. and attended East Tennessee Baptist Church while in Maryville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Z. Taggart. Survivors include son, Kenneth A. Taggart and daughter-in-law Gail Taggart of Maryville; daughter, Barbara Taggart of Cambridge, Mass.; grandchildren, Keri Rhodes, Kelley Housley, Rachel Horton, Deborah Beall and Remy Taggart, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Thomas A. Glasgow of Medford Lakes, N.J. Jo was a graduate of Pitman High School, class of 1934, and a graduate of Glassboro Teachers College, class of 1937. She was an elementary school teacher and taught in Washington Township, Pitman and Woodbury Heights School Districts. She was an active member of the Pitman First Presbyterian Church and a long time Sunday School teacher, past President of the Presbyterian Womans Association, and an active member of the Pitman Womans Club. Services will take place at Pitman First Presbyterian Church, 305 South Broadway in Pitman, N.J. on Sept. 12th.
