Edgar Herman “Dutch” Alexander, 1919-2009

199462_1Edgar Herman “Dutch” Alexander, 90, of Maryville, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at his home.  He had been a member and Deacon of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church since 1964, was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army Airborne, was retired from ALCOA after 41 years of service and was a member of the 25 Year Service Club.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Lou Alexander; parents, L. H. and Sarah Irene McCloud Alexander; one brother, Ralph Alexander; and sisters, Verla Thompson, and Sarah Hall.  Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jack B. and Dixie Alexander; grandsons and wives, Charles and Tracie Alexander, Donnie and Amanda Alexander; grandson, John Alexander; great-grandchildren, Jud Alexander, Colter Alexander, and West Alexander; special nephew, Jerry Snoderly; godson, Grant Snoderly; several nieces and nephews; sisters, Katherine Reagan, Bertha Albaugh; and special caregivers, Dale and Rosemary Ott, Missy Ott and Wanda Finger.  Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Long officiating.   Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m. Friday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for the interment service.  The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday at McCammon-Ammons-Click Funeral Home, Maryville, Tenn. 965-982-6812.
