Barbara Anne Brown, 1924-2009

Barbara Anne Brown, 85, of Maryville died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maryville.  She worked for many years with the Blount County School System as a secretary at Eagleton Elementary.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Edward Brown; parents, Birdie and Rufus Davidson; sisters, Erline Davidson, Sue Jobe, and Peggy Henderson; and brother, Clayton Davidson.  Survivors include her son, Charlie Brown and wife Lisa; daughter Glenda Drinka and husband Lou all of Maryville; grandchildren, Miller Brown of Galveston, Texas, Lindsey Brown of Maryville, Kelly Drinka of Knoxville, and Wendy Kirk of Alcoa; great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Jay Kirk; and many nieces and nephews.  The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Fairpark Nursing Home for their caring and compassion during her time there.  Family and friends will meet 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grandview Cemetery for a graveside service with Rev.
