Charles Kenneth Harwood Jr., 1949-2009

Charles Kenneth Harwood Jr., 60, of Maryville, Tenn. passed away on Sept. 7, 2009 at Hillcrest West Nursing Home with his battle with cancer.  He was the loving husband to Donna J. Harwood.  Other survivors include his stepchildren, Bill and Joanie Berry, Frank and Suzy Kiebzak, Tim and Gwen Keyes, and James R. Elmore Jr.; grandchildren, Roger Williams Jr, Jennifer Brandenburg, Lindsay Ray, Rheanan Williams, Matthew Ray, Ward Berry, Allen Berry, Dustin Berry, Joseph Berry and his children, Faith, Karen, and Randy whom are estranged; great grandchildren, Abby Lynn, Haliegh, Caleb and Cameron, Ethan and Wyatt, and Kiana Nicole.  Special thanks to Caris Healthcare and Hillcrest West Nursing Home for their care, compassion, and grace.  A Memorial Service will be held in Smith’s West Chapel at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, with Pastor Mark Kirk of Calvary Chapel of Knoxville officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Caris Healthcare, toll-free 866-694-4988, as they took care of our dad, free of charge.  Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009.  Arrangements by Smith Funeral & Cremation Service, Maryville, Tenn., 865-983-1000.
