Ruth Frances Rathbone, 1921-2009

Ruth Frances Rathbone, 88, was born March 26, 1921, and passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 at the family home.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Annie and Dallie Lawson; husband, Clarence Rathbone; sons, Raymond Rathbone and Avery Rathbone; daughter, Della Rathbone; granddaughter, Rachael Rathbone; brothers, Earl and Sheridan Lawson; and sisters, Grace Lawson, and Oma Watson.  Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn Rathbone and Shirley Turner both of Louisville; sons, Andy and Bud Rathbone of Louisville; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Tony Hearon, and Brenda and David Deal all of Louisville; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marie Rathbone of Louisville; daughter-in-law, Donna Roe of Louisville; granddaughters, Tammy Hollifield, Pamela Jenkins, and Sarah Bryant all of Louisville; grandsons, Avery McNeilly, Josh and Mathew Bryant, and Dakota Deal all of Louisville, Lee Rathbone of Florida, and Charles Rathbone of Nashville; her special babies, John, Logan, and Lucas; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, stepchildren and friends; and special pet and friend Angel.  Funeral service will be held 12 Noon Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home Cedar Chapel, Rev. Clifton Hearon officiating.  Graveside service and interment will follow at Rocky Branch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville, Tenn., 865-982-6041.
