Jerry Lynn Burchfield, 38, went to join our Lord on Monday, Sept. 21, 2009. He grew up in Maryville. He was self employed for much of his life. He owned a tire business in Maryville before moving to Honea Path, S.C. where he started working in the family’s paint and body business. Preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Joy Morton. Survivors include, father, Jerry B. Burchfield; step-mother, Debra A. Cummings; sister and brother-in-law, Chrystal and Shane Collins; brother and sister-in-law, John and Rita Burchfield; nephews, Tucker Collins and Baren Collins; neices, Hannah Burchfield, Mazi Collins, and Emma Burchfield. He was a good man who always placed a higher price on friends and family than any other thing. He will be sorely missed by all. With his passing a piece of us has passed too. He will always hold a special place in our hearts. Funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home. Interment service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
