Mildred J. Ogle, 75, of Maryville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Mildred had unconditional devotion and love for her family. She was of the Baptist faith and deeply loved the Lord. She loved to work her crossword puzzles, reading, and needlework. Mildred will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by parents, Harvey Spencer and Stella Mae Hurst; son, Perry Lynn Ogle; sister, Ramona Cooper; and brother, Bill Hurst. Survivors include husband of 59 years, Paul Max Ogle; daughter, Linda K. Gardner of Maryville; daughter-in-law, Theo A. Ogle of Townsend; grandchildren, Lance and Kim Brumbalough of Louisville, Kelly and Steve McKeethan of Kingston, Amy J. Ogle of North Carolina, and Paul H. Ogle of North Carolina; step-grandchildren, Nadine & Richard Derksen of Maryville, Samuel Douglas of Townsend, and Sarah Douglas of Townsend; great-grandchildren, Brodie Bryant McKeethan and Joseph Lynn Douglas; brothers, Herbert Eugene Hurst and wife Molly of Illinois, Jack Hurst and wife Myrna of Maryville, and Sim B. Hurst of Maryville; sister, Margaret Graham of Maryville; sister-in-law, Etta Jean Hurst of Maryville; and many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Memorial service will be at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Long and Rev. Bob Hurst officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
