Aundra B. Ditmore, 1922-2009

Aundra B. Ditmore, 87, of Maryville, passed away on Wednesday Oct. 21, 2009.  Born and Raised in Sharps Chapel, Tenn. the daughter of R.C. and Della McBee Burnett, married in 1940 to Henry Ditmore.  He preceded her in death in 2004.  Also preceded in death by sister, Goldie Burnett; granddaughter, Laura Fridley; and son-in-law, Darrell Brake.  Survived by daughters, Doris (John) Fridley of Kokomo, Ind.; caregiver, Sue Brake, and Hilda Nichols both of Maryville; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; sister, Bonnie Sandford; and brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Ann Burnett.  Also survived by “adopted son”, Roy Sims; devoted friends and family, Shane and Pam Bullock, Don Sanford and James Henderson.  Very special great-granddaughter, Sarah Campbell.  The family would like to give a special thanks to the Blount Memorial Pallative Care Team, and Blount Memorial Hospice for the comfort you brought to us these past weeks.  Aundra was a member of Allegheny Missionary Baptist Church and retired from St. Joseph Hospital in Kokoma, Ind.  Funeral service will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home, Rev.
